About Us...
Santa Fe Fire
& Rescue was formed in 1995 by merging the three community fire
departments of Alta Loma, Arcadia, & Algoa, along with the
Santa Fe EMS. We operate inside of the Galveston County Emergency
Services District #1, the first and only ESD in the county.
Santa
Fe is located five miles west of Interstate 45 between Houston and
Galveston.
From our meager
beginnings, we have grown into a first rate organization through the
hard work of many members....
We are currently
comprised of over 65 active volunteer firefighters and approximately 15
part-time paid Paramedics and 3 full time office personnel.
Our apparatus consists of:
- 4 Class A Pumpers
- 2 Water Tankers
- 1 Booster Truck
- 1 Heavy Rescue Truck
- 1 Cascade Truck
- 4 Alternate Response Vehicles
- 3 Medic Units (BLS with MICU Capability)
